Parly prioritises protection of whistleblowers

Co-chairperson of the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group, Advocate Andy Mothibi, says investigations into the murder of Babita Deokaran will be concluded soon.

Deokaran was Gauteng Health Department’s chief financial officer when she was shot and killed outside her Johannesburg south home in August 2021, for exposing tender corruption at Thembisa Hospital.

With the Whistleblower Protection Bill under review in Parliament, Mothibi says they’re ready prioritising the protection of informants. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
