Cynthia Stimpel delivered a beautiful and brilliant speech at this year’s International Anti-Corruption Day which took place on 8 December 2023.

The International Anti-Corruption Day is commemorated annually in honour of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) which was signed in Mexico in 2003. South Africa is one of the signatories to the convention and ratified it in 2004. The 2023 International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) also marks the twentieth anniversary of UNCAC.

This year’s event was held under the theme “Uniting against Corruption: how to better collaborate to improve implementation and impact”, and will bring government, political leaders, business, civil society, academia, the public and youth together to join forces against corruption.
